We encourage you to get outside and enjoy all that Morningside Farm has to offer.....Be it bird watching, walking in nature on over a mile of private paths and trails, enjoying the abundance of wild flowers in our meadow, sitting by a camp fire or just relaxing in the hammock, you can do plenty here and not leave the farm.
We are conveniently located less than a mile from downtown Brevard and an easy walk to Brevard College and the Paul Porter Center for the Performing Arts.
We also have in our area wonderful outdoor resources in Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest, which host some of the best Mountain Biking in the country. The Davidson River in Pisgah National Forest is rated as one of the top 100 Trout streams in America for Fly Fishing. And there are many more streams full of fish. The Hiking is fantastic. If this is your interest, we can help you plan your trip while you are with us as we have hiked this area extensively. Go for a drive on The Blue Ridge Parkway. It is a wonderful way to spend a day taking in the awesome scenery in our area. Highway 276 cutting through Pisgah, connects to the Parkway right in front of Cold Mountain (the one that the book and movie are based on)
